Hello Queens!

We will be delivering blankets along with socks and clothes to help keep our homeless neighbors warm during this winter. We will also be collecting self care essentials for the homeless Saturday, March 27th! Feel free to bring items of your choice that you would like to donate to help us provide Self Care on Skid Row. Come ready to help pass out our self care bags and help pass out warm meals! We can always use extra hands.

GrlPwrLA is partnering with “Sharing Love” which is also a woman-owned non-profit organization lead by a woman named Maxine Sealey.

Sharing love is a Los Angeles based organization geared towards helping enhance the quality of life for those less fortunate. Maxine does this by feeding the homeless food on skid row along with partnering with other organizations to provide food, clothes, and other personal items.

We will be helping Maxine hand out food which is already prepared and ready along with our blankets and clothes. We will also be accepting self care essentials and supplies. This includes feminine items, tooth brush, toothpaste, Us ladies will start at 12:45 PM! Please arrive at 12 noon to give us time to set up and prepare. Feel free to stay for as long or as short as your schedule permits. We appreciate your help!

Please us know via email if you plan on volunteering so I can give Maxine a headcount of how many of us will be helping! If you can no longer make it please let me know as well.* Lastly, please don’t forget to wear a mask! Gloves will be provided.*
